- You must have movement (unit) bases for all units which utilize circular/bike bases which allows you to move a squad at a time. Basically, if its smaller than a rhino kit, all of the models in a unit/formation must have a single base on which they can move. We will have a variety of movement bases available for purchase at a later date to assist people who don't have the inclination to make their own.
This needs to be opened to discussion. (As in a solution - I have no talent for anything other than amassing horde armies.) Is anyone here making them on the cheap? Or is there a decent on-line retailer of movement trays?

Dreadnoughts? Kanz? Warbuggies? Landspeeders? Dethkoptas?
Those utilize circular bases so yes,
Two options
LotR bases, kind of small though and not cheap.
Very Cheap - Piece of foamcore/cardboard, use blue-tac to hold the minis down. This does not have to be pretty, its simply so that you can move units as units instead of having to move individual minis.
Our source for cool cut bases has lost access to the cutting machine meaning that won't be happening

Has anyone purchased any of these? Three for $4.50 sounds pretty good, especially if www.thewarstore.com will drop off another 20%. I'm just curious if they'll fit standard GW bases. I've never played the LotR games.

Bases in Lotr are the same as in 40K AFAIK
The bases are the same. I'm going to paint up a few this weekend if I get the chance.
The only difficulty I think I could see would be that they've got a nice, smooth, beveled edge. Once you set them down on flat concrete, you might have a hard time picking them up again.
I'll let you know how my first set turns out.

How did they turn out?
Cheap: My Chaos Marines all have magnets in their bases, so I've just gone to the dollar store and bought a few cheap cookie trays. I cut them into squad-sized pieces and taped the edges with masking tape. Bingo: movement trays.
Cheaper: Foam core with double-sided tape to hold your models in place.
Moderate: Cut holes out of wood, mount on another piece of wood.
Easy: Use GW Fantasy Battle movement trays.
More expensive: Litko or Gale Force 9. Someone on Siegeworld was making them for people last year, I believe.
You only need some way to move your whole unit at once. It doesn't have to be beautiful.
